I read in some book on science that there are 206 bones in our body. But do you know which is the shortest bone and which is the longest bone in our body? If you know please let me know the answer. My question is where does the longest bone lie and where does the shortest bone lie in our human body?

I would love to shed some light on facts about human bones. This really is an interesting topic.

2. There are 54 bones in the hands and wrists
3. The only bone fully grown at birth is in the ear
4. The face is made up of 14 bones
5. We are born with 300 bones while adults only have 206 bones.
6. In an adult body 14% of total weight is due to the bones
7. The thigh bone (femur) is stronger than concrete

The longest bone in the body is the femur. I knew that answer already! It is the bone in your thigh.
I had to look up the shortest bone. It was an easy search on the search engine. There are actually 3 bones that are the shortest. They are called ossicles. From what I found, they are near your ear.
It is amazing how many different parts there are to our bodies! It is even more amazing that they all work so well together to get us through life everyday.
