Star Trek Music Themes.

Whith the new trek treak film comming out I am sure it will have some good music scored for it. there have been vaious scores done for the perious star trek flims and tv shows. Which them music to the moveies or tv shows do you like the best? Mine is the the theam to the origianl Motion Picture and to the Next Gernrtaion seris. the scoes were almost indincal there.

Star Trek has this interesting habit of producing some fine theme music that makes the scenes so radiant - not just the movies but the series with renown composers like Jerry Goldsmith (may he rest in peace) and Alexander Courage. The Voyager theme song is just breathtaking. The latest movie's score points to more action-oriented music unfortunately, as this film has slightly wandered from the paramount directive of exploration (which I hope is addressed in the planned sequels), but Courage's original theme is preserved as the end of film credits scene and makes the great theme song sound much better with our speaker tech today!

Hi and thanks for the response. I had heard on one of podcast devoted to star trek that the music for the new movie was fine as long as it played with the movie. however by itself if was not as good.
