Can you believe a writer has more than 300 articles for sale in DA?

I submitted a few articles for sale in Dailyarticle (DA). For the past one month, I noticed that a JamieCains upload many articles on almost a daily basis. Out of curiosity, I check out her profile, and find that she has more than 300 articles for sales. She is selling them at $10 or less. I wonder how she can manage to write so many articles. Assuming that she writes at an average rate of 10 articles per day, selling at $10 per article, after paying the commission to Dailyarticle, she still earn $80 per day. Most of the times, I can manage 5 articles comfortably (provided I'm not working). The only way I can go beyond 5 articles is to rewrite my original article, so that I can use the same material for 5 articles and generate additional 5 articles. Did anyone manage to create 300 articles in a month?

Wow, that is quite a high payment per article. I don't think I can create 300 articles per month. That is too hard.

Hi Sdas, if you check out the writing site, you will find that she under charged for selling the articles. Dailyarticle requires the writer to give up ownership to the article once sold. Giving away full rights for $10 (in fact is $8 after the commission to DA) is very cheap, most writers will charge about $25. Even if I have to rewrite existing articles, creating 10 articles per day is still a challenge, and I will not sell at $10, I will sell at $25, so that I can make $20 per article.

Hi Sdas86, it is usually at the end of the month when you see a lot of buyers snapping up the articles. I monitor the number of articles, especially the bargain bins (for articles selling less than $10). Guess what, nearly all the articles were snapped up on the last week of the month. All the major categories showed a major decrease in the number of available articles too. I joined DA at the beginnning of April, and I checked with the writers in AC about the average approval time. They mentioned it's about a week. However, DA took such a long time to approve my articles for sales, and I missed ou the end of month sales. DA will check that the article is original and makes some editorial changes. Sad to hear about how much the other writers earned, and my articles were not even approved for sale. Less than 10 of my articles are approved for sale so far, hope to make my first sale by the end of this month.

Thanks, I've never heard of DA before and will check it out. I don't think I could write 10 articles of quality every day. I'm very picky and the most I could do is 3 a day, I think. Quality is more important that quantity to me.

Hi Dragon, I can't also. Unless it's just a rewrite. Dailyarticle does not impose word limit. Some of the articles are slightly more than 200 words. The only catch is that all the content must be original. Dailyarticle will moderate, and probaby run through copyscape to make sure that the content is unique. If you are writing articles now, you can rewrite some of the old articles, and post them for sale. I will not recommend you selling them at $10. It's too cheap! There are some writers charging up to $100, probably will take a long time to sell. But I read from the forum in Associated Content that whatever you put in DA will sell ultimately. I recognised some writers in dailyarticle since they used the same user name in AC also.

Hi Canellita, you are right in a sense. Most AC writers post those articles that they cannot sell anywhere. Some articles are rejected by AC for being "too common", so they post in DA. Some are short articles, less than 200 words, so they are selling below $10. Surprisingly, one or two writers dare to quote beyond $100. A writer in AC sold a short fiction piece for closer to a hundred, after a few months.

I wrote a few short movie reviews on Ciao. They are all less than 300 words, some may even be less than 200. The requirement was about 150 words (minimum) so maybe DA wouldn't be that difficult and it could be a place to sell those ideas that you start working on but just can't draw out to a full 400 for sites like helium.

That is a lot of writing...not to mention ideas, maybe even more challenging. I can usually only write 1-2 articles a day. There's no way that I could write that many in one day, day after day. I did go over and check the site out. I had heard it mentioned before, but never tried it. I signed up, but I don't have any articles waiting in the wings, so to speak. That's my problem. Cranking out articles is no easy task, as I see it. I like to have quality articles, and even then, I do make mistakes, so I like to give them some time to breathe so I am sure to correct typos and such. All this takes time that you wouldn't have if you are scrambling to post 10 articles daily. That Jamie must drink a lot of Red Bull! LOL Thanks for mentioning this site. Do yo write for Daily Article? Have you sold much?

Hi Art, actually writing for dailyarticle is very different from writing for Helium or Associated Content. For one thing, you know that the article is not yours once it is sold. That is why I do not feel the kind of stress in writing for DA, do not even feel that the article is my baby. Plus DA has no word limit, even if my article is less than 300 words, I can just submit, and price lesser than $10. Writing for Helium is the most stressful of all. I have to get into the mind of the raters, and see how appealing my introduction is. Always have to ask myself, has this touched the heart and soul of the reader? I joined DA beginning of April, however the articles are approved only a few days ago. DA usually takes a week to approve, but they seem to have some problems and take a month to approve my articles. The last week of the month is usually the time when buyers flock to snap up articles, so I missed it! So sad. Hope to make my first sale soon

Some sites do allow previously published articles to sell for non-exclusive rights. I don't know if this is possible at DA, but it is not too difficult to rewrite an article. Either she is a very productive writer or she is reworking articles previously written. It depends on the length of articles, whether she is writing on the same or similar topics, and if those topics require research. The important point is that she is finding buyers for those articles. Writing 300 articles would be a waste of time if no-one wanted to buy them! I should have 300 articles at Helium by the end of June, but it will have taken me more than a year to publish all of them. I can write quick articles, but for 400-500 word articles I don't think I could produce more than 5 in a day.

Hi paid2write, she does sell a lot of articles. All the articles at Dailyarticle must be unique content. DA is very strict about this. Once the article is sold, the buyer retains the full rights. The writer cannot claim any ownership. I know that she managed to sell a lot of articles, because I check out the "bargain bin". "bargain bin" contains a lot of articles selling below $10, and she had a lot of articles below $10. Usually at the end of month, buyers snap up those in bargain bins first. Now the bargain bin is again full of articles, most of them hers. I guess she rewrites those articles so that it will appear as original and repost for sales. Most of her articles are 400 to 600 words. Actually Dailyarticle does not have word limit, some articles in bargain bin are only 200 to 300 words long.

So Scheng. I just visited DA and found a typo on the home page and another in the FAQ. And these are the pages on which they are marketing their service to potential article buyers. Very interesting.
