Can lovers remain friends after break off?

Ya obviously it does depend on the type of breakup but its really very rare that you continue as friends after having intimate feelings for each other.

depends on the people ofcourse and what kind of circumstances they broke up over.

Well it mostly depends if your new lover is the jealous type. I personally havent remained friends with any of my ex-g/fs. My wife wouldn't like them around anyway.
