It has been going on for years... something I have never participated in... not even in my single days... although I wasnt much of a boater... There is one friday in June every year where people will take the day off of work, or leave early ....hence the "jobie nooner" and by lunch time Lake St Clair is filled with rows of boats and very drunk people parked and walking around... now why do I compare this to Mardi Gras... because women get there beads there pretty much the same way.... You will see lots of T & A... and I dont mean Trees and Air... Is there something like this that happens around your area one day a year that you hear of every year or even participate??

Around the middle of August every year, Warkworth Ontario Canada has the Long Lunch. At the time, they close the main street off to vehicular traffic, and make a single row of hundreds of tables all the way down the entire street. The food is BBQ meat, corn on the cob, baked beans, pickles, and rolls. Pie is available at a small charge for desert. The Warkworth Long Lunch, is Famous in Southern Ontario and is attended by thousands of hungry people each summer.
