Yes that is right! In the USA a price of a postage stamp went up form 41 cents to 43 cents! Yikes! Now that is crazy! I can remember when stamps were 15 cents! It sucks because I mail out all my bills and it isn't cheap! It sucks!

In reality this is why so many have had to turn to the Internet, etc. to pay their bills due to the high cost of postage. It is really becoming unreal and you would think will be a Big deterant for sure when everyone has to mail something. Seriously I wish there was some way we could Stop some of the things like this from rising all of the time, but I guess somehow someone's got to pay for the mail to get delivered.

I would love to pay my bills on line but I don't have a checking account! I have had them in the past but always abused them! I pay all my bills by money orders and mail them out! I have no chose to but pay the high price of stamps!

I thought I just read that stamps went up to 44 cents. Maybe I am wrong. But I too remember when stamps were 4 cents. They just keep on getting higher postage, but worse service.

I went ther one morning to cash a postal money order that someone had sent me, I was told to come back later as they didn't have the money, that was hard to believe as this is the post office. When I went back, she told me with everyone using credit cards now to mail out packages and with everyone using email to send birthday cards and letters over the web, that, that had cut their actual money down greatly. I would imagine that the email of cards and letters and people paying their bills online would hurt them in a big way, so guess that is the reson they keep raising the price of stamps.

I heard the news last week and it doesn't surprise me. I know a lot of people who bulked up on those Forever stamps because no matter how high a postage stamp is worth, the Forever stamps can be used any time. The raise in price is because the post office is not making any money and is not goverment aided.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the price went up from 42 cents to 44 cents. I understand if you buy a forever stamp, those stamps are good no matter what the prices go up to and that may be a way to save money on the whole process. I was surprised when I opened a checking account with my credit union. I just type in the name and address of whom ever I want to send a check to including bills. The credit union does all this through their web site and they send the check out. No more paying for check printing or for stamps. Call your local credit union and see if this would help you in saving a good portion of money in paying your bills.

Yeah, you can look at it that way! (the most common way) or you could look at how much it would cost you at the present price of gas if you drove around to pay all your bills! I try to pay as many on line as I can. I cannot do that with all of them, but most of them. Perhaps that is why stamps needed to go up again! :)

For the most part postage prices do not affect me except for at Christmas time when I am mailing packages and christmas cards. All my bills are paid electronically. and if I write a friend a letter I use e-mail. Someday they will probably start charging for e-mails.

yeah, it just doesn't stop. I predict that u will be forced to adapt to the technology age and begin paying bills electronically. Or, maybe u will try to fight it... I wonder who's gonna win ... u or technology.
