If there's one luxury that I have --- that's traveling. I am almost done seeing all the nicest places in my country and I'm set to start seeing the world pretty soon. If I were to visit your country, can you reco one beach and one restaurant that I MUST see, by hook or by crook? :)

I do believe we're both from the Philippines so I'll take this one locally: if you're into snorkeling or scuba diving, then Palawan would be the best choice I've been to in our country. It also has one of the most prized natural wonders of the planet: the longest underground tunnel that you can tour. If you're after cold weather, I suggest Tagaytay over Baguio plainly because it's less crowded and they have cheaper pineapples :D I do think you'd miss the famous Tantamco ube though. If you're after sightseeing then make sure you visit Bohol for the Chocolate Hills - it's a cool ride, especially if you get a good tourist guide to take care of all the historical tid bits along the trip. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I suggest you stay for three to four days :D four days would be more comfortable for you - if you arrive early on the first day, and you leave late on the fourth.

That is awesome. Was wondering if Palawan has a signature dish?

I have yet to go to Palawan. My friend was there on a trip just this weekend and I was looking at her photos - the place is majestic. My friends have plans to see it before the year ends. How long must we stay there? How many days do you reco?

Hi, Russo. Indeed, i like your lifestyle-- travelling anywhere you can go. If you come to my country, you won't be disappointed. In China, we have many interets of places. If you don't have enough time, you can pay a visit to Beijing City, you visit the Tian'anmen square and the famous Great Wall. But about beaches and restaurants, i am not living in Beijing, so i can't give you any recommendations. But if you come to Guangzhou, you can live in the White Swan Hotel, which is the biggest hotel in Guangzhou and which is a beautiful and comfortable one in China. And if you are in Guangzhou, you can take a train to Shenzhen to enjoy the Nan'ao beach. Have nice journey!

I shouldn't miss China. It's so near my country... My mom's been there, too bad I was not able to go with her. Isn't shopping also awesome in Shenzhen? :)Thanks for the tips you shared.

Of course. You can enjoy shopping in Shenzhen as long as you have a lot of money. :D Attractive things and charming persons you will find.

Oh you are so lucky to have traveled so much. Traveling has become so expensive that I can afford it only once a year. In any case, if you were to visit India it would be difficult for me to pinpoint any one beach or restaurant like that. I think Goa would be a good choice for both…the beach is beautiful, lots of foreign tourists visit Goa so it has good restaurants with international options and the weather is good too, specially during winter.

I guess I'm just lucky that in the last two years, here in my country - airlines don't charge as much. With the global economic crisis, these companies have to find a way to still sell. In a way, it becomes an advantage to a lot of people. Thanks so much for the info that you shared. India is certainly in my list of places to see mainly because of the food. Hahaha. I absolutely love Indian Food and it's just too bad that we don't have so much Indian restos here in my country - really few. The nearest resto is a 30 to 45-minute drive. Sometimes, it's an hour drive if the traffic situation is bad.

I'm sure you'll find time for that. It's really good and fun to travel with friends while you're still young. I was there in Mindanao last January. My friends and I went to Cagayan de Oro. We were also supposed to go to Camiguin, but that was the time when there were floods in CDO and the Coast Guard called off all trips going to Camiguin. My friends and I plan still plan to come back. We'll most likely spend half-a-day in Cagayan de Oro then see Bukidnon because we heard from fellow travelers that it's very beautiful there. After Bukidnon, we will see Camiguin.

I have not done much mountain-climbing. I could count the number of times I climbed a mountain with my fingers. Hahaha. I have friends who are into this amazing hobby and they've been traveling around the Philippines & started seeing Asia. I would really like to join them in one their trips. I just have to be fit first - I'm getting there.
