I wouldn't say I'm afraid but it does make me a little nervous. My mom is head of infection control in our area so is very involved it this - getting 100s of reports every day but she said Mother's Day that most of them are not the h1n1 strain. Washing hands regularly (particularly after touching public things like shopping carts and door knobs) and avoiding confined places such as elevators can help somewhat. I carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my purse and take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Oh thank you for the BR - I don't know where I got it but years back got a big bottle of hand sanitizer and it came with a small sample bottle - I just fill the small one as needed for my purse from the larger one (which I buy before last one is empty)... Study I read one time said shopping cart handles and theater seats were the most unsantiary objects there are :(

I have heard some things about this lately. I am afraid to get it also. I stay home alot and make sure to sanitize also to keep from getting it.

I'm not afraid of the flu. I have never gotten a flu vaccination and haven't had the flu for about 20 years. Before that, I had it once. So, twice in 55 years with no shots? I'm not worried about it at all. And if I do get it, I'll deal with it. I think the "swine" flu has been blown all out of proportion to distract us from all the crap that's going on as they take over the country and herd us further towards facism.

I´m not afraid of the flu anymore than I´m afraid of any illness per se. I´m afraid of bothering my loved ones. I´m afraid of long physical suffering and pain. As for flu (any type) I think the best way to avoid it is by being clean. I never dry my dishes ( the washing machine is cleaner), I sundry my clothes if posible, I use disposable paper napkins and hankies. I wash my hands many times with a good soap. I don´t sneeze over "things".I don´t use the same glass or dishes other people use (not even my children´s, of course). All this is, of course, common knowledge.

yes, i am afraid. but i think it is a foult oh the farmacies and institutes! why? because they made new antiflu injections and tryed on people... and you do not need to panic too much. TV, radios and etc made a very big bubble with this flu. it is serious, but there are medications..
