Are Your Kids Hooked to the Internet?

Personally I believe that there are more disadvantages than advantages in kids' life being exposed to the internet all the time. I controlled my kids' internet session that we don't have internet connection at home; they can only be online once or twice a week and an hour per session.
How about you, are your kids hooked to the internet all the time? Do you know some youngsters who do? What do you do to control this habit? Thanks for sharing.

I do not have kids, but for me, internet is a must because there is lots of things I can find here. Everything has advantages and disadvantages, it just the indidvidual themselves that know what good and what bad things to do.

It is really difficult to control kids from internet usage if they already stsrted using it. My child is very fond of palying online cartoon games. We have 24 hrs internet connection at home. Everyday he wants to play 2 hrs atleast since it is vacation time for him. I have to be harsh on him to stop him most of the time.
I think a solution is to disconnect the internet which is not possible for me since it being used by others at home.
But here you have metioned that only one or two hours in a week. I think this ok since now a days kids must have knowledge about internet. Even if we dont give them they will try to get it from other source without our notice.

My daughter is not hooked on the internet. She is addicted to her cell phone though. I am always working on the internet.

Yes I do controlled my kids use on the internet. And I see to it that I know what sites they entered to. So far my 9 year old kid just use Y8.com to play games. My 11 year old is just into friendster and surf for David Archuleta's websites. I guess it's really good that you know what sites they open so that we can guide them accordingly.Thanks!

no at all, i control them in using the net.
it cam harm them if we will left them all the day.
yes i know some kids addicted with this high technologies
but its the duties of their parents to called attention
with their kids.give the advantage and advantages to the
kids so that they will know the reason at all.
if they are used w/ it , they tend to forget their study habits
its because the like to play games in the pc all the time
and no difficulties coz its easy to bring the mouse
where they wanted to open.
