millions of people venerate images and icons as aids to worship. how does the creator view these practices? present your views on this subject if you can?

No. an image or statue, whatever is just a copy of the original. It has no power, it can't do anything. And its just weird. lol. Would you do that to a friend? Take a picture of a friend, and talk to it. Or go somewhere, and have a cardboard cutout of a friend, and introduce it to everyone. That would be crazy. So why would you do the same for God?

Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, etc do not worship statues, images, and icons; and they also do not worship God through these things. They are meant to be reminders and to be inspirational. God had Moses make a "fiery serpent" to heal those that needed it. He also had Moses build the Ark of the Covenant, which had Cherubim. He had Solomon place statues in the temple. God was referring to "false" gods and images.

Isaiah 42:8 " I AM the Lord: that is my Name: and my Glory I will not give to another, neither my Praise to Graven Images.

Personally I feel art is art but to use any art to bow before and pray whether picture or statue is nothing more than Idol worship and that is wrong.
