Which side is the handle of the cup?

A general but a difficult one to answer. You can't say it is on right or left or north or south because if we rotate the cup the direction of handle changes.

It is usually on the OUTside.

This is tough but let me take a stab at it. There are special 'lefty' cups designed for left handed folks. I believe those handles are only on the left side of the cup. We right handed ('rightys) get no such special treatment since we're so run-of-the-mill! ;) Regular, every day common cups have universal handles that can appear the same on any side of the cup. Sometimes thyre comfortable, sometimes they are not. I hope that helps clear up the confusion!
