I'm asking this because I did. Haha! I have this bestfriend and we've known each other for 5 years. We get along really well and the next thing I knew, I fell in love with him. Too bad it wasn't mutal. Oh and yeah, and this point, I'm at the "getting-over-him" stage. Bwahaha!

But you do, right? Yes, it's really hard to lose a bestfriend. But I guess it only proves that he's not a real friend since he let love ruin our friendship. Oh well, things will never be back to how they used to be. Enough for being emotional! Haha!

empress yes I did fall in love with mybest friend and he with me as we stayed best friends and lovers,it can be done, as others have also done it, but you must both love unconditionally,that is he accepts you warts and all, and you accept him just as he is,faults and all, this is the only way love and best friends can exist together and really blossom and grow. we were in love and also like.I cannot imagine making love with a man I did also not like,it has to be like and love to be really intimate. I am sorry for you that your best friend was not one who loved and liked unconditionally as that would have been ideal. good luck.
