always seem to have actors and actresses that are unattractive? i mean im not being mean but i have seen a lot of the stars from low budget movies and they arent attractive and im not just saying personally but to a big variety of people.. it makes me wonder because i know a lot of people that are attractive that would jump at getting to be in a movie so why dont they have 1 person that is at least average? have you noticed this? do you think they purposely choose plain jane or unattractive people so that people may think they are more realistic or something?

I'd have to say it was the equipment, make up & editing. Nobody looks all that good on camera. If the producers don't pay for the extra fixes the actors are not going to look good. Just look at the big budget actors who would normally be considered attractive when they end up in the tabloids, It's usually not pretty.

the other attractive actors and actresses may demand a higher paywhich is definetly not possible in this low budget films, the other who look a bit pretty might be not knowing the A,B,C...of acting!

i would think if they are starting out they would take anything but maybe they do have high standards so it makes it hard

I guess I have never noticed this.....basically I think they all have so much makeup on that they could make a snake look like a giraffe if they wanted to! LOL

They pick up unattractive people from low budgeted film because these guys have very low talent fee compare to good looking and famous performers. In a low budgeted film, producers concentrated more on the production cost budget like costume, production designs among others and not too much on talent fees.

you would think some attractive people would be desperate to make it big that they would take some crappy paying roles just to get their name out there

I think it depends on the movie or in the budget. I'm not after with the actors or actress as long as the movie has a good story to tell it's fine. To be more realistic I guess why they want to have not good looking actors or actresses. The movie that I watched which is low budget film is My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I like the story I research some info about it and I found out that it is low budget film. It is successful movie in the US and I found the actress and actor their attractive.

Hi Moon....It is probably becasue they are the only ones who will accept the little bit of pay they are probably getting to make the movie. Some of these movies that are being made could not afford to pay their actors much money becasue they are bombs and not making any money. So i think it is probably just amateures grabbing at straws to tyr and get noticed by a bigger movie company. flutter
