I want to have a wider understanding of different cultures. I feel like I am stuck in one mind frame and all I know about is my beliefs, traditions, and ways of life. I would like to become friends with all different kinds of people. I live in a place where the military used to come and go quite often, I met a few people from different places while I was in school, but never really learned much from them about how they lived. I think that if you have a friend in different places in the world there would be less fighting and conflict. I think everyone should open their minds to different customs, sure agree and disagree. But let everyone have an understanding of how and why things are the way they are. I live in Canada... would anyone like to discuss their way of living??? I am also new to mylot so I am not sure how many places or different kinds of people are using this site. Thanks and I would like to hear from you. Different religions and social groups are also welcome to write :)

I am indian and have made many friends around the world . It becomes really nice to know each other about their nature . Till now i have noticed , all my friends around the world have the same personality and nature like we find in our own country . There is nothing much difference . But things differ like their thinking and point of view . In india , you will find many cultures and traditions . There are thousands of god to worship and speak many languages. You can find so many kind of cultures that even i don't know few of them and with slightly different religious beliefs . Tell me about your country ? i would like to know about canada and its famous food.

Food, I am not sure!! We eat all kinds of things. Chicken, turkey, caribou, moose, seal... many wild animals. We eat pizza, chips, salads. This question is kind of hard to answer. I guess to you it might sound crazy but we eat normal things. I can't think of anything off hand that would be different. I'm sure there are a lot of things that we eat different but I guess I just think of my everyday life as normal. I am proud to be a Canadian. We have free health care, lots of freedom. There are many different kinds of people and we are not told how to live. Everyone has their own styles. Most Canadians speak English, there are people in canada from all over the world, so languages are different. There are a few different religions. I'm not sure if you do (to anyone that reads this) but we get a lot of snow where I live in canada.

I know Indians but where I am from I am sure they are nothing like you would expect them or want them to be. Most of the Indians I know are very dirty, drink a lot and don't care for their children. They are very rude and always say that the white person is racist.Even when things are going their way or they are doing nothing to help themselves out, they say that the white man is putting them down because of their race. I know right now I might sound racist but I am not by no means. I want to have a better understanding of things and meet real, good people. I have heard about India but there isn't much I know about the place. what are some of your beliefs, traditions, is there anything unique that you eat or the way you do things?
