I was so amazed to see and elderly couple holding hands while they were strollig around the local mall one day. They're still so sweet to each other despite their old age. BUt sometimes to the contrary, I see these younger couples going out together but seem so world apart! Each has earplugs attached to their ears or cell phones being busied about. whew! How about you, dou still hold your partner's hand in public? I still do...Happy posting all!

it all depends on culture.pda which includes holding of hands is frowned upon here,so normally one doesnt see anybody holding hands but i do agree that it is really sweet to see elderly couples holding their hands.(especially since the divorce rate is so high.)

I guess it is a matter of habit. I do hold my wife's hand or arm in public. Sometimes she does the same. It is just habit and there is nothing more and nothing less to it. Cheers!!

Yes. My husband and I have been together for 17 years now. We still hold hands in public sometimes if we feel like doing so.

even before we got married, my husband and i already held each others' hands.i don't have something to be ashamed of as long as it's not that intimate. this time, when we go to the malls, it's already our kid that holds our hands.

Yes -we definitely do. But like someone has already mentioned - it's almost out of habit than anything else. I can't imagine walking side by side with my man and not take his hand - and if I don't he takes mine anyway.

I love holding hands!! Although sometimes, or most of the time I should say, we don't. But whenever he does hold me, it makes me feel loved. The times that he doesn't, I feel like were not even dating, like he doesn't want to be there. It's sad.

Hello mjmlagat , yes my b/f and I still hold hands when we go out in public and even at home. It seems weird to me when he and I aren't holding hands and we hug alot too. I have been with him for 7 years and I still like to talk to him because we have alot in common.

Yes, my husband and I still hold hands in public from time to time. Of course, this is only possible when our 18 month old son is not with us, as he usually requires us to have free hands. But, on the rare day that my husband and I get to go out alone (gasp!), we do like to hold hands.
