As a musician, I am very happy to play music. Especially if playing music with other musicians.
If you're playing music, I really enjoy and happy. Do not feel well, mild pain or a lot of thought, I immediately lost if playing music.
Music is a useful nutrients for my health.
But I do not get enough money from playing music. I have to work in another. To be balanced, I still play music, at least once a week.

Oh..I know..family comes first. I have children so I understand what you mean. When I say he plays because it's a part of him..I mean by day. He doesn't make alot of money or get a lot of gigs but he has to play his music. He does things like put videos on youtube and plays with a band he's recently hooked up with a few times a week. I can kind of relate because I am a writer and painter. If I have to go for long periods without doing what is part of me..I'm sad. There is no room for ego when it comes to family..I agree. It is nice to talk to you again. Take care.

Personally, I think ego=confidence to a point and confidence makes you a better musician. Also, if money is part of your dilemma, try finding a producer or masterer who can make your music sound better with the use of modern day technology!

It's better to be balanced as that will help give you insperation for your music. Besides your music probly brings your family more comfort than you will ever know.
