I am looking for some good ideas for relieving some stress. I am working extra long days and planning my wedding. I don't have much time left with my days once I get everything done that needs to be done, but I need some ideas for relieving some stress. Like today - it's a free day for me. I'm off of work. I have a mile long to do list though and no energy to do it! It's awful. So I'm curious as to how you relieve stress or regain that energy you need to make it through the day.

My greatest stress reliever is to swim! It is my favourite thing to do. Often I will go to a hotel and use their pool to swim when its winter, Its much less crowed than a recreation center pool. Exercise is the greatest stress releiver however after the exercise, you will still be too tired to get anything done. Just make a list of what you plan to do the night before. In the morning, eat, shower, whatever you would normally do and tell yourself, you are going to accomplish everything on this list A wedding is stressful but its over so fast, you will be wondering what all the fuss was about. You will probably decide that you may have done things different or cheaper. Its the ceremony that is most important. The rest is just added rituals. It will all be over before you know it and you will be fine!

I LOVE swimming! I just wish I had a place to swim year round. Do they charge you to go into a hotel and use their pool? If so, how much? That's a great idea for the winter!

ehmm... let me think... for me, i usually do a shopping therapy... :-) this can be really expensive though especially in difficult times like this... so i usually just do window shopping and i am already very happy with it... just go out and treat yourself to something nice... may be have a nice meal, manicure, pedicure, get your hair done... just treat yourself... enjoy and good luck with your wedding preparation... take care and have a nice day...

well there a few ways you can get rid of your stress, well you could if you feel like it have a scream just to get it out. or you could get a stress ball. Umm or you could just try and relax by doing something which is not related at all to the think that is stressing you out.

sometimes the best thing to do is just to take a walk, and try to clear your mind...then you can kind of refresh yourself and start new when you get home...even if it is just a 20 minute walk....like 10 minutes and then turn around... I have done that....and as long as it is nice out...LOL that makes it better. good luck with all the planning, I remember those days and it was fun, and stressful!!!! happy mylotting.

I have lots of things I do for stress relief: prayer, meditation, deep breathing, talking with others, surfing the net, playing games, watching a funny movie, exercising, and even grabbing a piece of chocolate cake. So, maybe that last one isn't the healthiest (lol), but there are lots of ways to reduce stress. Also, try prioritizing your to-do list and focus on doing just THREE of those things each day. This way, only the most important things will get done. Everything else will work out. I promise. You don't have to be super woman. Take good care. :-)

I know you say you haven't got much time, but meditation is fantastic for relieving stress & re-energising you...also yoga is great. I use both of these and find them really helpful - in more ways than one...and funnily enough my 2 little boys try and copy me & love it too! There are different types of meditation and they can take different amounts of time - just do some research to find the one best suited to you. Good luck planning the wedding!

My two main ideas are probably totally unoriginal - but doing some kind of yoga/breathing exercises and going for a run. I used to hate running - but I've actually really gotten into it lately. It's really stress-relieving actually. In fact, any kind of workout really does the trick! Especially after, when the endorphins kick in. .

Working long days and having a family or other responsibilities can be quite difficult and very stressful in making sure everyone is happy and that the tasks needed to be done are completed. Some good tips is giving yourself some "you" time. You can spend this time doing things that you enjoy, maybe going out for a walk, treating yourself to a coffee or even a movie. Exercising is also a great way to relive stress from our everyday lives. I do know what you are going through as I have had similar experiences with having too much to do in so little time. Take a moment to closer your eyes, breathe and meditate or do some yoga to relieve some of the built up stress. I always remind myself, no matter how hard I work, I have to work twice as hard to make sure that I am taking care of myself.
