If you play the lottery, do you play the same numbers?

Do you pick your own numbers and stick with them or do you let the machine pick the numbers? Are the odds any better playing your own numbers over again? I usually let the machine pick the numbers.

I made the mistake from the beginning of selecting a set of numbers based on my date of birth and a factor that I cannot even remember now, so I have a fixed set of numbers that I am unwilling to change.
To offset this I usually purchase 2 lines on the lottery, my preset numbers and one that I pick at random.
Not that it really matters because I do not expect to win.

I pick my own numbers. I don't play the same numbers every time, but I like to pick. I usually use my siblings' or my friends' birthdays, that sort of thing.
I haven't won more than $10 on a ticket.

Sometimes I play my own numbers and it is a mixture of birthdays and anniversaries. Other times, if I am in a hurry I just do the quick picks lol.

I pick them. I think it's fun to experiment with the numbers.
