PTC sites are a WASTE OF TIME

After using a few PTC sites, I'm afraid my conclusion is that they are a waste of time. 1. You only get 1 or 2 cents per ad at most places, and sometimes even less. 2. At least 75% of PTC sites are scams or will become scams in the near future. 3. Your pay per hour, once you add up all the time you spend there is probably going to be far less than minimum wage. Now I know you are thinking, NOT ALL PTC sites are SCAM! That's true. Some do pay. However, is it really worth your time? For me they have served to be more of a distraction from sites that pay more. I've personally used 5 PTC sites: 1. NeoBux. the most reliable PTC site. I have spent many hours there, but only made $1.97 so far. I might get a payment of $3 in a few weeks, but it has been too much work for such a small amount. 2. You Data. While this does not call itself a PTC site, that's pretty much how it works. This is the only one that I strongly recommend, since they pay 10-20+ cents per ad. Sounds to good to be true, but the catch is that the ads can only be clicked once. And there are not ads every day. I have spent less than 2 hours to get $9 or so, that's a good return on my investment. See my blog (link in profile) for my review on You Data. 3. NoMincashout. This site could be turning into a scam. They used to pay $0.01 per ad but now they have reduced it to a ridiculous $0.0025 per ad. You have to pay $1.99 to upgrade back to the $0.01 per ad pay. I don't even know if I will get to the $3 cashout. Many hours wasted there. 4. Wordlinx. I have not been with Wordlinx very long. They are supposedly the oldest PTC site. so far they are one of my favorite PTC sites, but again, probably a waste of time. 5. BaleClix. This site is probably going to be a scam too, I just joined almost right after it launched to see if I could reach the $1 cashout before they failed. I'm at $0.63 right now. Once again, it has been a waste of time. I've been making a lot more money at paid to write sites and Gather.com. One of my reviews on Ciao won $10, plus earned a few more dollars from member reads and rates. At Swag Bucks, I get about $3-5 a week just for searching the web. The only way PTC sites could really be profitable to you is if you had dozens of faithful referrals, which is unlikely for most of us. So with the exception of You data, I think PTC sites are a waste of time. Do you agree?

I disagree, only because I'm making about $30 a month on NoMinCashout. I admit though, I did waste a lot of time there initially, but now I spend less than 5 minutes a day on it.

Thanks for your response. How much did you have to spend to start making that $30?

$11.54 but I had spent countless hours promoting though. At least now, it doesn't look like I need to do anymore promoting to maintain the amount I'm making.

Let me ask you a question. What would happen if you were to start a blog and put the same amount of time and effort into writing content daily? Take a few minutes and really think how much you could accomplish by just picking a topic and staying on that topic every day.

The thing about blogs is that you don't have to write very much at one time. You just have to be consistent and write at least every few days. Make each post valuable to your readers so they will keep coming back and even subscribe to your feed.
