I'm dealing with a chronic illness that has been going on for several years now. I was wondering if any of you are also chronically ill? How do you cope? What are you dealing with? I have 3rd stage Lyme Disease that went undiagnosed for about 30 years. That has lead to other issues and now I'm disabled. Please share your coping methods if you will...TIA!!

I like to think of myself as differently abled rather than disabled. I deal with half a diaphragm being paralyzed, some lung issues, and kidney issues. But, those things do not define me. I try not to focus on the things that I can't do. Instead I focus on what I *can* do and on enjoying life. Everyone has limitations. Mine are just slightly different and that is okay. So, I can't hold a 9-5 job, but I can stay home and take care of my son. I can teach violin lessons on the side. I can do some ministry or counseling work on the side. I can work online. I can enjoy life just the same as anybody else, and I have more to be grateful for because I am still here in spite of everything I have been through. Halelujia!

Thank you so much for your comment! You make valid points. It is always good to have a positive viewpoint. I do enjoy the things that I can do, also including my ministry. It really helps to be helpful to others. Hope you are having a great day!
