Why do you have them?Is it because they will post in your topics and make you money?Or is it because you like them?

I have made some friends in mylot. I have them saved because I love their questions that they have. They are really interesting. And I always go back and see if they have more posted.

When I first started on this site, I thought you needed them. Then I realized, you don't really. So right now, I am going through my 10 pages of friend's, reading their discussion's and posting on them, if I find we have nothing in common or their discussion don't interest me, I am deleting them. I don't think we need to have hundred's of friend's, if they don't reply to your discussion's and you don't reply to their's, then why have them. Anyway's I am going over your discussion's and posting on them. I am not deleting you as a friend.

some of my friends here are special to me, others wanted to be my friend so I am getting to know them. My favourites are the dragon, grubbyhands and hammo1.

Yes I do have quite a number of friends here on myLot, some are constant and others are changing. I always respond to discussions started by my friends and those who are constant also respond to mine. The changing friends are those who don't reapond to my discussions, as I tend to delete them after a while. I prefer to keep my list of friends shorter rather than the other way round, as it means that I can respond to most of their discussions which is impossible if you actually have hundreds of friends. Each one to their own I suppose, but I can see no point in having a huge list if we aren't supporting each other. I can honestly say that I do like those friends who are constant and we have a bit of a rapport going, over and above responding to each other's discussion. :)

As you possible ausnikki I was not here on myLot much for the first few weeks in January but each time I did came found that I had heaps of requests for friends, and so initially just accepted them so I could get to my old friends and their discussions. This happened every time I logged on and at one point I hadn't been here for about 4 days, and found that I had 32 friend requests. Yeek Over time I started to respond to some of their discussions, one for each of them in fact, but when I got back to myLot a week or so ago, checked all these new people on my list to see more of their discussions and responses. Guess what, not one of them had responded to one of my discussions, so why would they do a friend request under those circumstances. So I started to delete some of them as the list of friends was so completely unmanageable. I was talking to a woman I know who is in another forum and she told me that when she started there, she made requests for all those with high numbers. So for example, she would go say to my profile and ask to add me as a friend then pick say another half a dozen of those on my list. When I wanted to know why, she simply said that if someone had a high rating, they were active. So choosing someone active meant that they would probably respond to her posts which would earn her money. So that is the lesson for all of us in that if one person does this, then maybe othres will too. What it did teach me though is that regardless of who the request comes from, I do not accept anyone till I have a proper look at their profile. That will save me a lot of trouble and time in the long run. LOL

You know what?It hadn't even occured to me that people were just adding members with high numbers. It just goes to show how trusting (or nieve sp?) I am lol.I suppose there are those that do that.I am very selective these days about who I add to my friends list,I always check their profile first like you.

lol,it's definately better if you can get a decent discussion out of them.It can be very irritating if you don't get a decent reply after you take the time to respond well.

Most of the people on my friends list have added me to their list, the person that introduced me to myLot has suggested I add other people. My list is still growing. :D I’m very choosy on the posts I post in, I could probably make lots more money if I wasn’t so picky… lol

Yes I do have friends in mylot. Some of them like you I know from other sites. I regard those ones as my true friends. We laugh and cry and tell each other our problems and joys. I don't look at them to make money but a way to keep in contact.

I don't add friends here in the hope that they will respond to my topics, I just like making friends wherever I go. Besides, I have started only 3 discussions until now. I just feel that I am good in giving answers rather than asking questions.
