Things you do to save your job

When u know u are underperforming/ not liked/ and have this feeling that u are goona be fired anyday and u still want to save your job.What will you do or what have u done to keep your job intact.

I will try to keep a good rapo with the manager and will try to improve the performance. still if i am unable to then i will try to find a job which suits me and take a new opportunity to start with a good note.
