Starting Monday, we are going to stay in a Motel for almost three weeks while our bathroom is getting renovated and the ramp made. Luckily it is near where we live so I can walk over (and maybe do a little myLotting) to check the mail. Unluckily it is in a den of iniquity, alias a casino. Luckily I am no gambler, but I guess I have to wear a disguise when I am walking through the casino. Can you imagine me in a false mustache? But do I wish I enough money to get my macbook pro right now so I can do some mylotting and work on my novel while we are there.

So how are you feeling life there...??? I feel very uneasy at motels etc, though they may be even more comfortable or facilitated than home.....home is home after all and the frrdom you get there and teh peace is no where i think, its good that atleast you have that good hobby of writing to keep yourself engaged even at the place out of home

What is wrong is that it will be just like at home. My husband cannot get out much, and he cannot go to the restaurants. I have been making supper, and getting delivery, and with his hands so badly crippled, he does not want to go to the dining room and make a fool of himself, being sloppy. That is the hard part about it and our budget is about shot. So it is going to be tight.

someone said that was not a false mustache, but I don't know who it was! Have a good time.

I will be close to the Mall and we have a microwave. My husband cannot get out to eat because the stroke affected his hands so badly that I have to go across to the restaurant and bring the food inside and I am a gadabout.

i get a couple of chin hairs that I grow bonzers when they show up because they are hard to remove. I would probably have a fit if I grew a mustache.

I think is great that you will live in a motel whilst your bathroom is being renovated. i know from experience the noise from such an event is awful. Perhaps you will find somewhere to do some My Lotting. You might be able to work on your novel if you feel like it. I can't imagine you in a false mustache. You will see many gamblers going into and out of the casino. Then you will go home to your improved home and your fantastic new bathroom.

We are back home, and we did go through the casino. There is an aquarium in the middle and so we went to look at the fish. That was more interesting then seeing people play the slots and think they were not gambling because they buy a slot and the winning or losing numbers come out in a tabulation, not with hundreds of pennies spilling on the floor. But because we spent so much money renovating and my husband having a panic attack and needing an ambulance just before we went to the motels, and the cost including the city tax, my diabetes will now get worse because it is either save money and be less healthy or have a charge balance and be more healthy. My husband thinks it will be the former.

hi suspenseful, just make sure the motel you will be leaving is safe. we know that motels are not the safest place to live in but put safety your most priority of all. take care of your valuable things and feel the place. do not trust anyone immediately.

We are waiting until they call back to see if we get a good rate. If not, we might have to find someplace else to stay.

But my husband can't drive anymore. So I have to get to one of my friends and ask if they will drive us there.
