My family went for Lunch& dinner to my uncles place where my doggie Scooby too was specially invited. They had fun the whole day and Scooby was just running up and down the stairs with the kids and enjoying very much. After dinner when they returned, my doggie was yelling while asending from the car. None could make out that he was in pain since he was running the whole day, and hes so active always. He entered our house and could move no more. It was late at night so no Doctor. Early morning the Vet' came and he injected Neurobion. Said he has muscle pull.I am far away from home , so I can just pray for him to get well soon. What concerns me is that can a muscle pull be that severe that a dog looses his mobility. I asked sis if she was sure of the treatment and the diagnosis. She said he is feeling better but according to me Neurobian everyday to a doggie???? It is unfortunate that we keep pets and take utmost care of them and show them to the best Vets, but are we sure of their treatments? I think Vets give medicines on assumptions rather thn probing to the real cause. I have seen my 2 pets (dogs)die as soon as Vet had injected Decadran......it makes me wonder. Are you 100% satisfied with your pets treatment? I feel the pet owners should know about health issues and medications for their pets, to save them from unnecessary doses of medicines which can affect their health.

I’ve been very fortunate to find a wonderful vet. I used to go to a vet I hate. She had absolutely no bed side manner and really never explained anything. I had an 18 year old cat that was losing weight and all this vet would say is, “she’s old.” It infuriated me I’d get vague explanations. I now happen to know someone who works for this vet and she’s no happy working for this woman either. Thankfully a boss of mine recommended her vet. She had nothing but wonderful things to say about them. I took my dog there and LOVE them. The vet’s have a wonderful bedside manner. They explain things in full to me and will be honest as far as treatments. Both my dog and cat have dry skin, when I asked about it I was told they could give me meds but cod oil would work just as well and cost less. I couldn’t be happier with them and I trust them more than any other veterinary clinic I’ve taken my pets too.

Being a nurse and a multiple animal family,(3 dogs, 2 cats), that are all aging now, unfortunately, have to rely more on vet than in the past. BUT, it is just like people care and doctors. There are those who are a little better and know a little more, so if u can afford it and have access to a second opinion, ( if u are not happy with this care), then see another vet. Our animals are our children, and we are their voices, so we have to do what we can until we are satisfied and they are better!
