Could somebody please explain me when to use "borrow" and when "lend". I don't see the difference yet.

I don't actually know the difference between borrow and lend. But those both have same meaning. I think those are synonym words. I usually use borrow for things, and lend for money matter. I think my using way of those words is common as other people. Perhaps who has majority in english would help more. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

Either word can be used for money or objects. The word lend is used by the person giving the money or object (the lender). The word borrow is used by the person who is receiving the money or object (the borrower). I will lend you my car, you are borrowing my car.

You use lend when you are giving, you use borrow when you take. The library lends books to the people who want to borrow them.
