"A souvenir (from French, for memory), memento or keepsake is an object a traveler brings home for the memories associated with it. Souvenirs include clothing such as T-shirts or hats, postcards, refrigerator magnets, miniature figures, household items such as mugs and bowls, ashtrays, egg timers, spoons, notepads, and many others. They may be marked to indicate their origin."This is definition from Wikipedia.

I collect costume dolls from around the world. So far in my life I have been to 52 different countries and have been traveling for more than 20 years. Therefore my collection is quite large. Every doll I look at has a story of where he or she came from. I bought a wooden doll from Romania on a stall in a market place. I found a lovely shop in Hungry where I bought a male fabric doll. I was in an amusing shop in Indonesia when I found a female with a baby and male dolls. Also whilst in that fascinating shop I bought a model house. I have a small collection of model houses, like cottages and wooden homes. I have brought back foreign currency and postcards from the many places that I have visited. I have fond memories of finding a triangular coin and a three dollar note in the Cook Islands. My costume dolls are my favorite souvenirs that I have in my home.

I like to collect some souvenirs wherever I go.
Even If its a little things its very symbolic to me.
I love to collect things as a sign that I have gone there
and this is the basis that I was there before.
Might be bags, t-shirts, figurines, any others that can
attract me and I cant see it in my place I will buy it.
Its a memoir of the places I've gone through.

I do not have one particular souvenir that is special. I collect thimbles and can tell you where I was when each one was purchased. I can tell you who I was with and what we were doing there and why we were there! I have quite a collection so far! I lile to send postcards to other people when I travel. Recently I was at my daughter's house and the last postcard I sent her was on her fridge! That was cool!

Yes, I always want to bring souvenirs from my travels, These are good reminders of the beautiful memories I have of the place that I visited. I usually buy refrigerator magnets. I am often reminded of my out of the country escapades and travels whenever I open my refrigerator. I can see my ref magnets and always reminded of how beautiful those trips were. I also like to buy shirts and decors from places I visit. These brings back memories of fun, and the people I met during my trips.

I have a number of souveniers in my house from my travells. My husband and I spent the better part of a year together, in Sedona Arizona, in the USA. Eventually he retired, and moved up here to Canada where I already had a place (the place we share now). He brought a number of things from Sedona for us to remember the place by, when he came up here. Here is a picture of me with one of those souveniers; a pillow with a kokopelli on it.
