Expansion Packs -- How many and in what order?

I love Sims 2 and never feel bored with it. How many expansion packs does sim 2 have? And is there some order to having it. Does it get installed as a different game or just kind of modifies the base game.

There are 8 expansion packs: University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, FreeTime and Apartment life. I believe there is no required order for installation. And yes, you need the Sims 2 main game to have them installed, so they are just added to the base game.

agreed. Though I am not sure of Sims 3 just yet as I will have to upgrade my computer I think.
