god gives you choices, it's up to you to decide which is the right one. for instance drink and drive or not. you have a choice ,spend time in jail or do the right thing. it's up to you.

Hello dhawanbm!!! Whatever!!! My heart doesn't allow me to believe that there is some almighty God. But I believe in destiny. What I believe is that for every happenings there is causes, The sequence of events is necessary to cause a event to happen. Lets take a example... If there is cloud in the sky, then it rains, when it rains, then the road is slippery, and you fall down on the road. Now why did you fell down on the road? Because the road was slippery. Why the road was slippery, because it rained. Why it rained, because there was the cloud in the sky and so on...Now think, hadn't it rain, you wouldn't have fall down. And hadn't there been the cloud, you wouldn't have fall down. If any of the incident didn't occur, you would not have fall down. The world I believe in running in the above concept. I don't say it is the destiny of the God to do so. But I believe in destiny, my past had written my past and the future and currently I am writing the future. So what I wanted to focus is that we are actually creating our future. What is happening today is due to the past deeds. It seems that no any happening has no reason. The sequence of happenings are necessary in order to cause something to happen. So my future is already written by my past. I hope you understood what I meant... happy mylotting...

There are a lot of beliefs in this. Others might agree, others might not, still others might not even care enough. What I do know is the present. Sure,we know the past. We know our past first hand but farther back than that we just rely on what others before us have said. We dont know the future, at least not yet anyway. No one knows what lies ahead of us, unless we work toward it and actually make it happen. So, there is only the present to live for. We know what we have, we know what we are and we know what we're doing. Well, with regards to God, believing in God, one cannot deny that there is some form of a design or a pattern. Sure, we might say that we make our own choices, but God is there to give us those choices, right?

God's hands - Putting our lives in God's hands.
I'm pretty well in agreement with most of the folks who responded so far. I believe our lives are carved out by decisions that were made on our behalf when we were children by the adults that were in our lives, and then by decisions we made after we became adults. I had some pretty rough patches growing up and no one will ever make me believe it was all in God's plan for me. What I do believe is that no matter what decisions were made, God can take any mess we make, and turn it to our good if we believe in Him and let Him help us.

I believe God made us with free will and that we CAN change our destiny of course we NEVER know what's best for us so we usually wind up reaping what we have sowed but through it we learn a lot!! God's will for us is "that none should perish" that we may all come to the knowledge of the wisdom of His will for us and that we know that if we do so we are promised ETERNAL LIFE!! That is the part He has predestined for us the rest is our choice. As I said to someone here yesterday. We are not robots and God's ways are not our ways so we wind up being impatient and turning to our own ways. Sometimes.

God created man as a free will agent, so that pretty much rules out predestination. I do believe in the providence of God, though. Otherwise, our prayers would be futile.

Yes i believe that we have our own destiny.. If all of us can alter our own destinies, then the world would be somewhat not challenging at all.. Just think of it that you can plan your future and achieve your goals with your plans, you can have what you like or plan events what you want it to be.. Things are not that simple as everyone surrounding you affects your life, decisions, thoughts, everything..
