You use fork all time for eating, or like to eat by hand too?

I think it depends on the food. If you eat pizza or hamburger, of course it's better to use your hand to eat it, eventhough in some prestige restaurant people using knife and fork for eat those foods. I agree with you that in certain countries, eating by hand is just common thing. But i believe it's just about a habit. It also faster to eat by hand. But i think no one would eat noodle by hand. there are so many ways for us to eat here, we can eat by hand, with spoon and fork, with fork only, with stick, or with chopsticks... we can do all of it... lol... the most used here is eating with spoon and fork. btu our favorite is eating by hand, there is nothing like to it.. lol.. of course our hands should be washed and very clean before eating. but if the dish have soup in it, it is better to eat with spoon... i've seen some people eating by hand even if there rice is have soup and it is yucky...

Eating by hand in my country is accepted, actually my relatives prefer eating by hand especially when the food is wrapped in a banana peel :) But I don't really know how to eat by hand since I was not used to it and I find it messy. I've tried eating by hand once, but it seems like I don't get my tummy full. I'm always hungry.

I love eating food with my hands, there is a unique taste when you eat food with your hands specially when at home and home cooked food .... forget the fork and spoon. Yeah outside or in a restaurant I would eat with a fork n spoon.

I am from India and like most of the south Indians I prefer to eat with hand. I feel so full and satisfied eatig with hand compared to eating with spoon or fork. Most of the food types I eat with hand. I prefer using spoons for things like icecream, lassi.......mostly liquid food.

i eat with my fork only like chicken i eat with my fingers.I have always heard that any thing with a bone in it is ok to eat with your fingers

it really depends on the food that i eat... i can eat with hands, spoon, fork or chopsticks... whichever way i think is easier to eat the food, then i will use it... sometimes i use a combination of spoon and fork with hand as well when i eat chicken... i use chopsticks and spoon and i eat noodle... and so on... :-) take care and have a nice day...

I would use any means possible to get the food in my mouth... It just depends on what I am eating. Most of the foods i eat with knife and fork, some with a spoon and then some with my hands. It is nice to eat the meat of the bone using hands. Most take aay foods are hand eating foods anyway. Happy eating.

Hello! We Indians normally eat our foods by hand.We are well conversant that.Being an Indian I too eat my foods by hand.I feel uncomfortable if I eat by spoon and fork'thanx.

Well in most cases, I eat using spoon and fork. I have grown up using both since in our country is something that most people used. I think it about culture and practice. Well, I also use by hand, usually in some cases. I also use chopstick in some occasions. It depends on what I eat and where I am eating.

I most prefer to eat using fork and spoon,because this is the easy and not messy ways of eat, when you eat in restaurant or house of your friend, you must know the right act to eat properly the food, i use hands when ever i am at home,you can use fork and spoon when the food is very saucy or sticky, hands if the food are chicken or fish or finger foods.

hello icesmile,i sometimes eat with my hands when im at home,specially if the viand is dry,like fried fish or pork chop,i find it yummy when eating with my hands :) but if i dine outside,like restaurants of course i use the traditional fork and spoon.its very unethical using hands :).there are some restaurants here in my country(philippines) that allows eating with bare hands,specially native resto,where the foods are all grilled.try sometime eating by hands,you'll like it..hehhee i hope! good day!

Our culture is that eat with hand is not healthy, so I don't have the habit to use hand except in KFC because we had to use hand to catch the hamburg. As I know for some country they use eat with hand and they also use hand to clean their ACE.

I am using fork for some occassion. But when im home, i rather use my hands. I just washed my hands. I love to eat using my hands when im home.

I used to eat using my hands especially if its dried fish or friend chicken.. Of course, I'll make sure that my hands are clean before I eat. There are some restaurants here in our country who doesn't serve spoon and fork to the customers. They really let the customers eat with their hands. They will just serve you or give you a serving spoon for the meal but not for eating. Then they don't used plates or Tupperware, they use native utensils. Instead of using plates, they'll used banana leaves. Even though their restaurant isn't high class, but people love their restaurant and it is popular in our place. Most people love to eat using their hands because they find it more delicious to eat and comfortable.

In my country we eat using spoon and fork.depending on the meal,I eat using spoon/fork and by hand.when the food is soup,I use utensils.when the food is dry or fried,I eat either with utensils or by hand.it is never considered rude to eat by hand in my country.

Depends on what the dish calls for of course. Although, if it is debatable, I will use my fork and knife if my hands dont feel clean. If my hands feel clean (they are most of the day), I will use my hands and dig in.
