Ok so im 28 weeks pregnant and live in the mojave desert. I recently bought a pool, its not a huge pool just one of those easy-set ones... its like 12ft x 12ft x 36in. I was hoping to get more use out of it other than just lounging in it and cooling off. Can anyone think of any little exercises that will ACTUALLY work my body in this size of a pool? Ive tried searching online and can only find exercises to do in big pools.. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

heck berlong, I'd even try actual bicycling in the pool if it's only 3 feet deep. It's so hot were you are right now and too dry. I like the tropics, yeck! you could always try some basic physical exercises such as walking in the pool but keep your legs down like you would normally and getting a great workout from the increased resistance. I would also try sitting down and maybe doing some wave motions with your arms and doing some twists with your upper body. The resistance of the water just seems appropriate. My old kung fu instructor use to make me do my thai chi and my bagwa under water like that. He would make me go to the deep end and practice my kicks and punches under water too. It was always such an intense work out. Perhaps you could try the same. It just sucks that your pool isn't deeper. But heck, you have a frakkin swimming pool and that's awesome!

Thanks for the response bunnyhoover....I know , its SOO freaking hot out here and its ALWAYS dry... I swear this place doesnt know what rain is! ! ! I will definately try doing those exercises. Maybe I can walk on my knees, that will make my abs stronger by trying to keep myself balanced. And as far as the pool, your right it does suck a bit that its not deeper but hey its a POOL~ ~ :)...;)

I wish I had a pool berlong. It's been so hot out here in Indiana. I love the heat though. My ideal environment is 95 fahrenheit and rain, I like ti tropical. My townhouse won't let me have a pool. Maybe I can set one up in my upstairs and just crank the heat, my bedroom is huge!

After graduation I moved to NJ and then now Im out here with my husband ( hes in the army so we are stationed out here )...As far a the pool goes...You should definately try looking into getting a popup pool/sauna thingy- they make them for indoors...like the indoor whirlpools?!?!? Its always worth a shot!

If you like back paddling that is awesome or if you just stand on one side of the pool while holding on to the side try doing a bicycle motion one foot at a time. You don't want to overexhert yourself anyway. That is all I can think of. Hope it helps.
