Music consists of rhythm and tone. In the band, Bass lead tone, while the rhythm led by the Drum. Therefore, Bassist and Drummer to be very important. You are a musician? How do you think?

I am not a musician but I love music, almost any type of music and indeed I agree that the drummer and the bass are very important. The music I like the most usually has a very pronounced rythm section too. My son is a drummer

Yes, I play drums, bass, acoustic guitar and keyboard. Musical instrument that I play the oldest, is the drum. All types of music I ever play. I love music, but I prefer to play music....

That's all very well and good, but what if you're dealing with a choral group instead of a symphonic or orchestral group? There are no drums or basses in choral groups, unless you want to count the tenor and baritone singers as being the steady rhythm. I've been in both situations--in an instrumental group and in a choral group, so that's why I bring this up. Happy MyLotting!

Hi Coolcoder, nice to meet you again. You are right. I mean the band shows. In the choir there is a conductor. The first time they will take a tone with the tune using the fork, leading the conductor next step. Thanks for sharing...

Hi hsofyan, drum is the soul of a band. The different rhythms performed by the set of drums are really fascinating. So far I haven't seen any band without drums. I had read news about a three year-old boy playing drums skillfully. After surfing net I found there are many young gifted kids who are good in playing drums. Of course I really enjoy watching these wonderful kids in different ages showing their talent in their respective performances I'm not a musician though I love enjoy listening to music. I always reading and typing myLot posts and listening music at the same time. Yeah, a good band always led by a skillful drummer I like watching lion dance accompanied by the powerful rhythms played by the excenlent drummer. Happy posting.

Yes I think for a band, the drummer has a very important role.. I remember joining for the first time a "battle of the bands"... then our drummer suddenly thrown his stick and everything got worse.. hahaha Rhythm is very important too..

I also had experienced like that. Stick separated from my hands. Fortunately I have a backup that I place the stick over bass drum. Thanks for sharing..
