King George, Geroge Strait that is

I wouldn't miss it for the world. Country music, and all music in general, should honor George Strait every night. His musical compliments are unrivaled. No other artist has ever been as consistent. George has had more number one hits than any other artist in any other genre of music. I too own every album he's ever recorded and know every one of his songs word for word. George is and always will be the king of country music. I can't wait for Wednesday night. I can't wait to see some of the artists that will honor George and sing some of his greatest songs. From what I've seen and heard they include Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Jamie Foxx, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. It will be a star-studded night. Outside of country music, George is grossly underrated, underappreciated and underexposed. He doesn't get near the recognition or respect that he deserves. I certainly hope that Wednesday night helps to change that.

I call him my Grandpa George and I claim Alan Jackson as my uncle. We are not related at all but I think it is funny so I claim them. I am also excited about it. I just hope that I do not forget (I have the tendency of not turning on the TV)

Did he not just look great! I enjoyed most of the concert but some of the performers should have just told their anecdotes and not tried to sing one of his songs. But some of them did a good job on singing his songs. I just think George Strait is so good. (And there are plenty of other people who agree with me or his songs would not be going to number 1 all the time.) I am glad the ACM is finally acknowledging him, as he doesn't really win many of the awards. The music awards are just like the Oscars. The movies that people go to see are usually not the movies that win all the awards. I think many of the ACM members vote for who they think is "popular" or who is "cutting-edge" or something like that, instead of who is the favorite of the actual people who buy the music.
