This may be a repeated somewhere before in mylot but i still want to post and share this... I just read an email today... I maybe least updated on news and what may be happening around me.. The email was a few lines about a father saying "yes!" to his son's request to running marathons and the IRONMAN. It was nothing much till you click on the link to watch the video. Here is the link about them in the email... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJMbk9dtpdY I was touched by how far the father can go for his son. I just want to ask mylotters, how much can love be? how much can you do for love, this unconditional love? Be it for your family, partners and friends? I have to admit, I am selfish... I have been giving myself excuse for the amount of love I have shown to my family, my boyfriend and my friends... I seldom say "I love you"... To be more precise, I don't know how to express my love for them... I can say I am a young adult who will be embarrassed in my action of showing love. All I do is try to spend time with them.. Buy whatever they may need within my ability... But I don't think I can be in any extent do what the father had done for his son to run a marathon. I don't even hug my parents and siblings... I don't know I just can't bring myself to do it... I will be embarrassed by it.. They will be like confused and say "what's with you?"... Funny to think of it... Sad in my actions and thinking... I think about it.. I may talk about it, here, in blogs, once in awhile in conversations but I never seems able to express my love in action. I think you can say I am more of a "say but doesn't do it" kind of person... Also like the phrase, easier said than done. Are you like me?

DUn worry, u are definitely not alone ^_^ FOr, i'm just like u ^_^ Maybe it's the way we were brought up, in those traditional chinese way, and thsu we were not taught how to show our affection openly ^_^ WHile saying does not mean that one dun love their family or spouse as much, as compared to actions.. Sometimes, it's the words that make ple feel good.. As for actions, u are already sharing your love and caring for them in everyday life ^_^ There isn't a need to go for extremes, and everybody has go their own ways of showing affection ^_^ NO matter what, your family members and spouse, will be able to understand u, and also be able to feel your true love for them, in many other small ways ^_^

Well, love can make people do so many things. I guess what the father did for his son is only something fathers can understand. The love parents feel for their children is the most purest and unconditional out there. Maybe you will realize that you are more capable of showing your love through actions once you have kids.

I guess I just have to wait till i have kids to understand more about this unconditional love as well as expressing it... Thank you for your opinion.
