I know that this subject has probably been discussed 101 times but there are so many discussions to go through, so I thought I would start my own. I recently had to totally gut my pc & start over from scratch after having downloaded IE8. Total mistake!!! Once you have installed IE8 you can't uninstall! I don't like IE at all, no matter the version. I presently use Firefox & Google Chrome, as I can't make up my mind which I like best. Does anyone know which browser is the best? In your own opinion, of course. Carlfan99--GO CARL!

For speed, it's Opera or Chrome. I heard that Safari is fast too, but I've never used it. Opera is good to use if you're on dial-up. But for the best, it's Firefox. Firefox is safe, and has a lot of features/add-ons. Being open-source is a plus too.

I love add-ons, hence my slow pc, lol. I haven't really tried Opera, I guess I should go & try that one as well. Thanks for your input. Have a wonderful day!

Yes, add-ons are great! It seems that there's an existing add-on for each and every need or interest.

The best browser according to me is Firefox bcoz you can really personalize the browser the way you like with addons and it has really cool features. I have tried Opera, IE and Chrome but i like Firefox the best. Chrome is sleek and shiny but it crashes too often

Thanks sidd, yes, seems Firefox is probably going to be the way for me to go. Of course, I'm going to keep my options open while waiting on my new RAM chip. My pc is over 5 years old, I should have already upgraded my RAM, I'm so excited!!

I feel that Chrome is the most stable, and fastest, best looking browser. Firefox is okay, but it doesn't seem as fast as Chrome. And IE is just HORRIBLE.
