Who does he really love? The current girlfriend or his long time friend?

It's so hard to tell the story without getting into details but lemme try... A guy confesses to his long time friend that he loves her but lost hope that she'd ever love him back because of another man whom he thought she fell in love with. And this guy is currently in a relationship but won't break up with the poor girl because he don't want to hurt her. His girl friend told him that she feels the same way for him and was even wondering why he never asked. He said, he never asked because he was too scared that she might get angry. He admitted to be a coward. He knew that he's really in love with her and she's the girl of his dreams but he doesn't know how to break up with the current girlfriend without hurting her. Thing is, he would rather hurt the one he truly loves than hurt the one he's pretending to love? Share your thoughts on this, please?

Well like his admission, he is indeed a coward. Right now, he is making his girlfriend look like a fool. He must break up by hook or by crook regardless of the intensity of the break up. It's a lot more fair this way than to keep the relationship with the person who don't deserve you. His friend, obviously is still longing for her friend and now lover. If she's smart enough, she would have figured it out that he is in a relationship and telling him why he didn't tell her only complicate things. What's the assurance that everything will be ok between him and his friend after he'll break up with his girlfriend?

It is again the same question in a new pack."To love who you like or to love who likes you?".In this case,the guy should go with the present relationship as they are currently in love.He shall forget the girl he loved and remain as had not confessed to her.A good love is awaiting him already.But it will be hard for him to forget him after learning the old friend has a place in her heart for him.Cheers!
