What annoys you at the cinema?

I have had a lot of annoying and funny experiences at the cinema. When I went to see Home Alone 2 as a child I had the misfortune of sitting next to a guy who just laughed uncontrollably whenever the villians came on screen. Yes there were some good funny moments, but laughing all the time while they are on the screen? And this was really loud! Also, I have two older people having a picnic in front of me while I was trying to watch a film, and a guy with a huge afro also sat in front of me. I thought I might have been on trigger happy tv, but I wasn't. What has happened to disrupt your film watching in the cinema?

I would have to say that people making out during an entire movie really works on my nerves. There is a place for heavy make out sessions, and it's not the movie theater. That really bugs me, but I try not to let it ruin my movie experience. I didn't spend twenty dollars on tickets and snacks to let somebody ruin my night.

Yes, this is really annoying too. Is there actually anyone here on mylot that has done this at a movie? Why? Haven't you got anywhere else to go and do that sort of thing?? You realise your missing the movie, don't you?

I can't stand people who talk when the movie is on. Especially if its a bunch of teenagers crowding the whole place. Most of them either make too much noise or instead of watching the movie they've paid for, they're busy making out... I totally hate that. And there always has to be some moron who forgets to switch the mobile phone off!! ssssooo annoying... and don't get me started with people who "over laugh" when the movie is on..

I hate people who talk through the movie as well. Really annoying! What age group do you think do this the most? I have had experiences of older people and teenagers talking through films. When I went to see The day the earth stood still, there was actually a group of older women asking each other what they thought was happening at the end of film. There have also been times when teenagers that have already seen the film blurt out the ending to their mates before the film starts!

I hate it when some tall person comes and site in front of me and blocking my view completely.........i hate it when people get along their kids for a movie who keep crying through out the movie and disturbing all around them.......i hate it when people just chat around......i hate specially the people who have already seen the movie and keep narrating it to their friends, what a kill-joy they can be.......and i hate going to cinema alone........its so boring !!!!!

In the UK a lot of the films that used to be classified as a 12 are now being classified a 12A which means children younger than that age can watch the film if they are with an adult. Since they did this I have noticed a lots of parents bringing really young children into the film, and they get bored and start running around! It is just annoying!

I don't get people who stand up when the movie is over and clap loudly. I mean there is no point of doing it, it's not like the creators of the movie feel the positive response. It's just noisy.

Ahh! I never realised there was people out there that did that as well. I can't have had all the bad experiences then, well at least not yet:)! That must be annoying.

I can't stand the always present group of talking and giggling teenagers. It's great they enjoy the movie, but at least be respectful so you don't constantly distract everyone else.

Yes, talking during a movie is probably one of the most annoying habits and so distracting!
