how concerned are you about the ecosystem?

Global warming is a really big issue. I think we should all pitch in and do our part, but I really don't think the world is going to end that soon. I think there are just so many theories out there and people have been paranoid over them throughout time. The other big one is the whole antichrist thing. Then the whole y2k thing that came and went with no problem.

The world is not going to end in 2011. It won't end in 2012, either. And it probably won't end in 2017. And if it does...who cares? If something is so drastically powerful that it could destroy the planet with relatively little warning, there's probably not much we can do about it, so why waste time worrying about such an unlikely event? As far as global warming goes -- it doesn't matter. Global warming or not, it makes logical sense to try to live your life in a way that impacts the world around you as little as possible. As we develop more efficient technologies, we should use them, so that we can devote more of our resources to erradicating the ills of the world, like global hunger and poverty.
