Inbox full - Apologies if some discussions haven't been notified - advice please

I have been out all day and returned to find that my inbox was full so no more messages could be recived. I use Aol and I do not like the fact that there is a limit. I really do not know how many messages I have not received. Do you experience this? Do you know how I can resolve this? I am an active internet user and have deleted some to make space but because I receive so many notifications I experience this more than I don't experience. Have you had this problem? How did you resolve it? Huggles. Ellie :D

do you have the capability to zip your messages that gives you more space in your email box, ask aol about that. As far as I know, I get all my email and lot's of times mylot does not seem to be sending them out, many people say that.

zip makes the stuff smaller, to take up less space, but it doesn't affect how you read them, that is why I said ask your server if they can zip email for you, I know outlook express does

Hi Winterose, my inbox holds a 1000 then recives not more bounces them back and have got it down to 878 today. Sorry but what do you mean by zip? I don't know whether I am not receiving some because of inbox full or because of myLot but there does seem to be a lot of what I call the old crowd missing. Huggles. Ellie :D

ellie I don't have this problem. I use yahoo. I don't know just ho many I can have but I do know that it has been up to 800 or 900 at times. I really don't have to worry about ho many I get. I do try to keep them down and it cleaned to 20 or so I keep at most times.

I haven't had this problem as I use MSN and there is not a limit as far as I know....either that or I just don't get that many emails.....I do have another friend that is on mylot and I tried to email her three times one day and kept getting them back....she said this happens ocassionally....so we just tried again.

Hi Jill, Mine holds 1000 and is at 879 now before it becomes full, I have answered some and deleted others but I find it a constant problem these days and it is not just myLot notifications, some are survey, some personal, some spam and I do try as I am quite active online. I will look into an Msn one though, thanks. Huggles. Ellie :D

i never really have tried using aol... but with yahoo, there was no problem in getting my inbox full. but i switched to gmail as they are easier to handle, and they have big capacity, everyday i receive more than 200 emails, and there was a time i was not able to check them really well because my online activities was limited (that was for 3 or 4 days i think), and it never got full. i think if its ok with you, try changing email, try gmail it is good.

Hi Jayrene, I think I did set up a gmail account have to remember what it is LOL. I wonder how simple it is to change myLot notifications to that as it is my aol address that is registered here. Thank you for your help. Huggles. Ellie :D

I'd get an email which didn't have such tight restrictions, because it costs you to upgrade to make your inbox bigger. I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say that I've never had the problem and if I did, I'd open up another email. Brightest Blessings my friend.

I used to have this problem with AOL also. I started using a folder for a while for the notifications. You can also sign up for a free email account with hotmail too. You can receive alot of mail with them.

Hi ellie, My one deletes the old e-mails withing two days so I don't have the problem but seeing your post I think I just go and delete the rest of the old posts.love and hugs. Tamara xxxxx

I've always used yahoo...and I've never had a full mailbox. Maybe it just allows more space? Perhaps you need a separate mail box for myLot, if that's the biggest volume of mail.

Hello, ellie! As a university student in China I have not used e-mail frequently. And my inbox is always empty so I have not faced the same situation like you.But as for me,if someday I have the same problem,I think I will logon my mailbox more frequently and delete the unuseful mails to let new mails in.I think it is my method to solve this problem.
