It is sin to eat Beef in India!

Most of the Indians don't eat beef. They think that cow is a holy animal. Milk is an important part of a normal Indian's daily life. People aslo consider cowdung as sacred. Cowdung dissolved in water is sprayed infront of the house to keep bad spirits away. It is also believed that beef is not good for health.
What do you think about this? Do you eat beef in your country?

Beef is eaten widely in Kerala state in India.Yes,cows are considered sacred but when they grow old and don't have milk,the people who rear them sell it out to the agents who then sell them to the butchers.It is very sad to see those aged cows transported in lorries from state to state.Also,some times a male calf of the cow is slaughtered and mixed with goat's meat.

Yes, Beef is widely being eaten in Kerala. According to Hindu tradition it is considered as a Sin to eat the meat of Cow since it is considered as a Holiest animal. But Buffalo's meat are being widely eaten by people in Kerala. As the Cow or Ox gets older, they are being butchered and consumed. It is a very cruel act but it does not matter for the people who eat it. If that is the case, even Chicken and goat killing have to be prohibited. But those are not practically possible. Muslims never eat Pig's meat. But pig's meat is not called as beef and it is being called as Pork. Muslims abhor Pigs since they carry lot of cholestrols and uncurable germs along with them. Even beef is not good for health. It is also rich in cholestrol and it carries a bad odour along with it. Hence due to these reasons people in Hinduism and Islam concluded that eating Beefs and Pork respectively is a big sin as people fail to understand if they are being explained in a detailed manner. There is a friend of mine who is addicted to beefs. Even for a day he cannot live without eating beef. No one can come near him as he stinks a lot due to the bad odour being created by the beef.

I eat beef and pork and other stuff which would be considered taboo in other countries. I guess the pork and the beef will kill me in time with their cholesterol and uric acid and other nasty stuff so it works out,I guess. I don't care too much for this. Cheers!!
