I just had a complete blood count last week and the results said I am anemic. Last year when I undergo this same laboratory test, the results said my blood count is normal. Well I have become anemic now because I am pregnant. So I was advised my obgyne to take 2 tablets of ferou sulfate a day and eat lots of iron rich foods. I also have to get enough rest and sleep. So I had to skip work today to get much needed rest.

I am almost 30 weeks pregnant and just had my Iron levels tested two weeks ago. I am not anemic, and actually have a very healthy iron level. You should make sure to take the sulfate capsules and then eat a food rich in iron soon afterwards. Also, make sure NOT to consume caffiene within 30-45minutes of either of the two. Caffiene will actually break down the sulfate and the iron, causing them to be pointless. Try to eat more red meat, as well as more green veggies. Rule of thumb is if you are feeling more exhausted than usual, it usually means you are low on Iron. Try eating foods high in iron throughout your day, not just one large chunk/serving of something in the day! You will see an improvement in your energy levels as well as you skin complextion! Good Luck Happy pregnancy!
