Do your kids watch PBS?

We don't have cable, we used to, and when we did my kids would watch Disney channel all the time. But now all they have is PBS, and I'm fine with that. I really like the shows on there, they're educational and the kids enjoy them. My toddler has his favorite shows of course, right now it's Curious George! He absolutely adores it! The only problem with PBS is it stops showing cartoons for a couple hours in the afternoon. I guess that's because most preschool aged kids nap during that time, but not mine. What do you normally fill that time with? For us it depends on what's going on that day. Today I put a movie on for him to watch. Some days I just turn the TV off at that point, and turn it back on at around 3pm when Curious George is on again.

We haven't had cable in 7yrs & I DON"T MISS THE BILL either! My PBS station shows the kids shows as early as 6am til atleast 6pm. The only thing that sux is they show the same shows 2x a day. But I guess it's not that bad so if I missed a portion I'll get to see it a lil later. We also watch alot of Qubo & PBS's Create stations as well.

Never heard of Qubo. I don't watch too much TV, especially not during the day. I can hear the TV from where I sit, but I'd rather get something accomplished while he's watching his shows. It's usually when I get online.

I think QUBO is from Canada possibly? But they have more of the Y7 rated shows that they sometimes show on NBC on Saturday Mornings.... like Jane & the Dragon, Larry Boy, Veggie Tales, Jacob Two Two, 321 Penguins.

Aww, we love Veggie Tales, but the only time we get to see them is when I borrow the videos from the library. I've never seen that show on TV.

My kids prefer Nick and Disney to PBS, but if not given any other choice they will happily watch PBS. My daughter does enjoy Clifford and Curious George.

I don't have children, but I used to babysit for a couple who had a little boy and a little girl and they LOVED PBS. Whenever the cartoons stopped on there, we usually just switched over to Nickolodeon since it seemed that there was usually something like Spongebob on during that time and we all liked Spongebob. ^_^

We went without cable for quite awhile. My daughter watched pbs then. I'd like to get her into it again, but I can't get her away from nick and the disney channel. They have good shows too, but I'd really like to see her watch sesame street and maybe learn something from it.
