Are people in your town helpful,kind? I just wanna know more civilized places!

There are all kinds of fish in a sea. However, some city is really more enlightened while some city is filled with more selfish residents.
I traveled to Osaka when I was 10 years' old with my grandpa, we saw a punch-drunk men. People didn't look down up on him at all. What's more, he accidently vomited up all he had eaten on aother guy. The guy didn't blame him. He just tried wipe up his clothes. It was sort of moving really. A coin always has two sides, this was just what I had seen! Anyway, I loved that city according to my experience!
On the other hand, I traveled to some city with my classmates in my freshmen year. One of us just left for an hour to a mall without taking her mobilephone. She fell down a flight of stairs and couldn't stand up since it hurt a lot. Well, she couldn't call us and just had to stay there for half an hour. Tons of people passed by but no one lent her a hand. After all, she picked herself with pain and found her way back. I didn't know why they were so unmerciful. Maybe there were also nice people in that town. Why we just couldn't pick one from tons of the passerbies! haha
That city was hateful!
Have you ever seen good people and good deeds in some city or have you hated some people's behaviors in some place? What about people in your town?

As a rule, both friendliness and kindness is more frequently found in small towns. Our town is still considered a small town (under 50,000) but is fast losing its small town appeal in the name of progress. I donj't know the answer to your question. Sorry.

I would love to move to a more civilized place too but we own our own home here. I wish the people that live here would move out instead LOL. Most of them are not civilized at all and it makes it totally miserable for us to live here. We will move sooner or later. They will not drive me nuts before hand either.

I am sorry to hear that! Being helpful, they will be happier! However, we don't have to be helpful to the bad people.
I like stories where the villain comes to a sticky end!

There are some of both kinds of people in the city where I live but I would imagine more unhelpful people than helpful ones. Even in my own neighborhood there are not that many friendly people that go out of their way to wave or say hello. My daughter lives in a real small town and the people there are so friendly, they drive by or walk by and if you are outside they are going to wave or if walking some might even ask how you are and to say have a good day and these people are strangers. I love to go there to visit and would love to live there.
