Do you sneak food into the movie theater? Normally we don't bring food to the theater, we just buy while we are therem but the other week we decided to bring in the sodas we already had as they were almost full, but we found out that the movie theater we go to changed their policies about bringing food in (they used to allow it, now they don't). I sent my son back to put the sodas in the car, but I wondered if we should have just sneaked them in. So... Do you sneak food into the movie theatre?

Definitely! Foods from the theatre are very expensive. So, I choose to sneak some foods and beverage from other supermarket which are less expensive. Usually I put them inside my jacket pocket (well, my jacket's pocket is quite large).

Of course I do! The food in the theater is sooooo expensive and it is impossible to go out to the movies with your family and plus buy them a treat at the movie theater. I refuse to buy popcorn because it is so expensive. I do not undertand why it is so expensive and not only the popcorn but even the sodas or candy. I think society should encourage families to go out together and enjoy a movie without having the headache to decide what they are going to bring to the movies.

Yep I am a sneaker. I just can't pay $5 for a small popcorn and another $4 for a bottle of water so yes I sneak. I have a huge purse and bring my own water and snacks. They are already getting $11 from me to sit in an uncomfortable seat, so I have no remorse about sneaking in food.

Me, GUILTY!! Not all the time.. usually only when i take the whole family out for a movie.. Reason.. there 7 of us.. and i dont wish to buy soda / bottled water for each of us, especially when the drinks (even the bottled water) sold at the theater are normally MORE EXPENSIVE.. So, i would bring my own bottled water, buy some popcorn or tidbits from the theater.. And normally when the staff do see that we have 'some purchase' from the theater.. they'd normally let the bottled water go by..

It is alot more common now then you think. I do but i dont go to theaters that often anymore. Then reason I sneak foods or drinks is a drink is around five dollars. Candy bars around three or four. Then other stuff is pricy as well. I can go to the store buy a dollar drink, a fifty cent candy bar, and if I want popcorn bag some up in a ziploc. Saves money. Especially when its nine dollars to get in a movie.

we sneak food into the theatre for several reasons because movieland food: 1. is very expensive 2. is not very heathy 3. they do not really have fruit juices there and who really wants a drink that will act as a dieuretic, because noone really wants to go to the potty half way through the movie, especially since sometimes those potties are a huge trek away.

yes i do actually... many times to be honest with you... but of course i sneak in just a small and light meal and a bottle of water... not like a big huge meal... and the cinemas here are not that strict anyway with people bringing in foods... as long as i make sure that i clean up the mess and take them away with me after that, i think it should be fine... take care and have a nice day...

I've never suck food into a movie theatre. I think the only thing that's ever gotten taken into a movie theatre with me is a pack of gum. I'm not really into fooling with sneaking food in. I don't eat stuff doing the movies really anyway. If I have anything, I just drink a drink, nothing more. Only occasionally do I eat something like popcorn or the like.

I have to say sometimes I do sneak in candy but not soda. Close by we have a Drive In before we go there we load up a picnic basket and take a small snacks and a meal. At the DriveIn it is aloud, but at our mall theater it is not allowed.

Most of the time I don't do either; buy stuff or sneak it in. If I do know I'm going to want something, however, I usually throw it in my purse. Found out when I went out with a bunch of friends that I can fit three packs of M&M's and two 20oz sodas in my purse, and it still closes :) On the other hand, my aunt (who is sort of known for taking short cuts) will never sneak anything into a theater. She says that the theater really makes nothing off of the movie ticket, and by buying your food there, then you are helping to keep them in business.

Yes, sometimes I do sneak food into the theater, especially when the food store inside the movie house sells very expensive food like chips and soda. Their mark-ups are always outrageous. I just put my chips and water/soda in my big bag and pile some other stuff inside my bag to cover the food. There are rare times I buy from the movie house's food store, like when I want to eat nachos they personally make and customize. That is when it is okay with me to shell out more money than usual.

We sneak food in sometimes. I like going to the drive in though. You can bring food into those and they won't say anything. I have been known to sneak candy and soda into regular thetres also. I personally don't feel the need to pay 6 dollars for a pack of candy that costs 1 dollar at the store. It's extremely overpriced. I will buy the popcorn on occasion though. You just can't make it the same at home.
