How many ways can you recycle a coffee can?
For one I use it in the kitchen as a holder of scraps as I am cooking! I line it with a plastic bag and I keep it near the sink to hold kitchen scraps and peelings. Instead of walking back and forth to the garbage I can make one trip to dump all the scraps at the same time. I also covered the can in pretty contact paper which is pretty durable and the can is kinda pretty for such a handy thing to have!
I also use one near my work area where all my portal wires are. Like my cell phone and laptop chargers. Its a great way to get those cords in and out in a very manageable way. Again I contact papered it and even put a pretty ribbon on the top and bottom to complete it.
So MyLotters, what are you doing with your old coffee cans?

Now I can't work this out yet - how big are your coffee cans?
I never have coffee in anything that big so I'm just wondering what sort of coffee it is and how liong does it take you to empty one of those cans?

I think folgers and maxwell house have containers that are a pretty good size, mysd. I know some coffee comes in those packages, that look like foil boxes!

So would that be the 'instant' type of coffee where you just add boiling water?

I guess you dont live in NY lamp . .cause some people here actually spend all their days walking around looking for cans .. each one is worth a nickel . .so I guess if you have a big black trash bag full of cans it would equal a days worth of postings around here :)

Great idea! I never know what to do with all the coins that accumulate! And what a great idea for when you have the can filled it all the coins can be transported to one of those counting machines so easily. I think I am going to keep the top and slice a little insert for the coins on this one.
Thanks britt_200

That are really nice ideas, although I'll use my red bull can instead :)
I just recycle them. I put all cans in one bag, all glasses in another. I also have for paper and for plastic. And the last one is for anything else. I know it takes space, but you don't know how much I'm proud of myself doing that. But I think I'll do the can near the sink thing. It looks nice.
