i live in a tropical country and we have no apples and oranges here, but we had a mango tree and guava tree in our backyard when i was a kid. during summer, when the fruits are plenty, my cousins and i would climb the tree, find a branch to nest on and bite into the just-plucked, unwashed fruits. :D

I have an apricot tree in my yard. The best time to pick one is when the sun is high, the fruit is warm and it smells like heaven. I just clean it with my habnd and eayt it as I do not use pesticides. My friends have other trees where I get my share too, but my apricot is my favoriute. I also use it for jams I give out for Christmas.

From the age of four to fourteen, my family and I lived in a house that had a peach tree in our backyard. So when it was in bloom I would pick a peach off, wash it, and eat it.

Yes, I have. At my mother’s place there fruit trees of different kind…she has one mango tree, one jackfruit tree, one sweet lime tree, a few banana trees and two coconut trees. The coconut tree is difficult to climb…we have to hire professional help to do it but the other trees are quite big and reach upto the terrace and when the fruits are ripe, we go up to the terrace and pluck them. Not all trees are at arm’s length…but the mango tree just hangs over the terrace and its lovely to just feel the branches when the tree is laden with fruits.

I have some trees in the garden, and usually the most available fruit is banana. It is so easy as a fruit, no need to water it and yet when the time comes you get the fruit. Then there is mangoes, pawpaws and guaves which I pluck directly from the tree to eat. It is more tasty and unique.
