I live on the island of Trinidad. One of the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago. We are far south in the Caribbean and just north east of the coast of Venezuela. We are known for our Carnival but there is so much more to us and the people living on the rest of the Caribbean islands. We have diverse mix of ethnic blend and there is a passion within Caribbean people that is unique to us. The islands are full of life and as tiny as we are. If you are nature lover then Wow.. you definately need to visit. I have visited some of the other Caribbean islands like Barbados, St. Vincent and Antigua and those places are incredible! Planning to visit more. Where have you been?

Well come on down! :) It is a wonderful place to live. Like every other place, we have our challenges but we deal with them through God's grace. We have a combination of a growing economy and a laid back kind of atmosphere but we try to balance it off. It is lush and green now that the rains have come and Tobago which is the smaller of the two islands is just something to behold when it comes to a vacation spot. Hope you get to the chance to visit us at some point. Have a great day!

My mother comes from Dominica and I have been to the island three times when I was younger. And yes, I know about Trinidad and carnival; I hear you have a great party down there; Listen to calypso and soca as well. Makes me kind wish I can get there and wukup too. I also visited Barbados and Antigua too.

My boss went to Dominica and said it was really nice. Lush and green and the people are really friendly. Trini carnival is a great experience and yes we have two days of street parade but months of pre-carnival parties. It's not just about the parties though because we have a lot of shows and competitions that showcase our culture and talent. Hope you can make it down here one of these days.

I have visited St Lucia and loved it there. I stayed at Rodney Bay. I saw the volcano and the Piton Mountains. I thought the scenery was lush and green. The local people were really friendly. When I was in the Central American country of Belize I went to Caye Caulker. It is an island which is in the Caribbean Sea. I loved its laid back appeal and brightly colored buildings. I was able to go on some superb snorkeling trips during which time I saw sting rays and nurse sharks. I went on a boat trip to see manatees. In the future I hope to visit Tobago, Trinidad, Grenada, St Vincent and Barbados. It would be exciting to go to Cuba I imagine. Belonging to Colombia I would love to visit San Andres and Providence Island. Off the coast of Nicaragua I hope to visit Little Corn Island. Some Caribbean Islands have expensive prices but there are some that offer much for a budget traveler.

I have visited the Caribbean and I have also lived in the Caribbean. I am from Puerto Rico which is a beautiful island with a lot of things to due. To tell you the truth you don't get bored down in PR there is so much life and so much things to due that you can't get bored. I have visited Dominican Republic which is a nice place. I really like it and is another place in the Caribbean with a lot of life and things to due. Those are the two countries I have visited and one day I would like to visit Jamaica since I heard it was a beautiful country.

Well, I have always wanted to visit carribean . There are such nice places like Saint Barthelemy ,Saint Kitts and Nevis ,Saint Lucia ,Saint Martin , Saint Vincent and the Grenadines ,Trinidad and Tobago , Virgin Islands , Jamaica ; each with its own charctersitics and charm . These have long been known as a resort vacation destination for honeymooners and retirees, but a small movement toward eco-tourism and backpacking has started to open up the Caribbean to more independent travel. With year-round good weather (with the minor exception of hurricane season in the late summer and early fall), promotional air fares from Europe and North America, and hundreds of islands to explore, the Caribbean offers something for almost everyone.
