I don't think sleeping makes you taller, but I think too much sleeping can make you earn weight. It is because your body is taking complete rest while sleeping. Also, too much sleeping is not good for health. If you need to gain weight, the first thing is to eat properly. If you are very thin and tried to gain weight by eating well for sometime and thik that it is not working out weel. Meet a doctor and get his advice. A dcotor can guide you properly by suggesting appropriate food to gain weight. A dcotror can also provide you with some syrups which will increase your apetite. I know about this because I had a freind who wanted to gain weight badly. So, all the best!

Yes thats part of the cycle to grow we should have sleep for it. Drink vitamins, follow the 3 consecutive meals and fruits. Doing more exercises to stay healthy and strong. Then sleep early so that your body got all the requirements for that.

Hello bhabytart. It is said that when one is during the period of babyhood and adolescence, enough sleep helps a lot in gaining the height, but I have no idea of whether sleeping helps gain weight. I think that the diet we have daily counts so far as our weight is concerned. I don't think that you need to worry too much about your weight. Why? You know, usually speaking, when we are middle-age, we will gain weight naturally due to lack of enough exercise. You know you are still young and for sure you will gain some weight. No worry about the weight, friend. When I was young, I was skinny and now since after more than thirty, I have gained a lot of weight than before. Now I like my weight, neither fat nor thin. lol. Take care and just enjoy the way you are.

Dont worry too much about the BMI, it isnt right for everyone! Ask your doctor what they think is best for you. You may not need to change anything! I have never heard of anyone saying that sleeping makes them gain weight. Sleeping itself wont make you gain weight. But if you switch from being active to sleeping without changing how much you eat, it could make you gain weight. Sleeping requires very few calories to be burned. It is really a balance of calories comsumed vs. calories used! Sleeping (or simply laying down) for several hours doesnt exactly make you taller. What it does is allows your muscles and spinal cord to decompress. In the morning you are taller than you are at night. Gravity works against your height all day long. When you lay down, you are able to reverse that for a while!

sleeping dosen't help, you have to eat food with more energy and proteins in it..fast food and other fattening products will help
