I'm more into hip-hop, and a lot of 90's hip-hop songs bring back some good memories. So, awesome discussion, and + for you :) Anyway, here are some of my favorites.. "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child -- this song just takes me back a few years. Good times with family and friends, good parties, good food. Never get tired of this song. "No Scrubs" by TLC -- reminds me of my aunt (who's a few months younger than me...go figure!) She used to sing this song a lot with me when we were little. Awesome song too, even after 10+ years it's still good music. Heck, better than what's on the radio nowadays. "No Diggity" by Blackstreet -- come on, who DOESN'T like this song?! Just listening to it now makes me wanna get up and dance... "I like the way you work it, no diggity!!" =D "Killing Me Softly" by The Refugees -- I just wanna repeat what I said above....who DOESN'T like this song? If you don't, you need to get a better taste in music! Hip-hop fan or not, EVERYONE I know loves this song. EVERYONE. It's not just hip-hop it's poetry. Probably the BEST song (lyrically & beat-wise) on my list. Wow, hard to imagine how 4 songs could bring back so many memories. Guess that's why music is so important to people, right? They associate good times with good music, and vice versa.

Yea. Did you know that before they started making that video (which was their first video!), they let a member of the group go, and brought in a new girl. So she didn't really know the moves to the dancing..so Beyonce came up with the idea of just hitting the "accent points". So, that's what they're doing in the video...they're not really dancing, just hitting those points in the beat. I just recently saw that on VH1 and thought it was pretty cool. Before that, I always thought that's what they originally intended to do, and I thought it was great! Never knew the idea came from Beyonce herself, rather than some producer.

Wow I definitely dont associate the Back Street Boys with the 90's! I had to go look it up just to prove to myself that song was actually from the 90's! I dont think I have a favorite song from the 90's. There are plenty of songs that I will hear and think 'wow, I love this song!' or 'I havent heard this in forever. Its great!' But I cant come up with any song to be my favorite!
