Dinner with myLot friends

Yesterday,(Tuesday) I met a myLot friend and her husband for dinner. They both loved the Middle Eastern food from my wifes restaraunt. We chatted for about 3 1/2 hours as we atre. It went great and hope to meet more myLot friends in the future.
So what did you do for dinner Tuesday evening?
Did you have friends, family, or others over for dinner?
Did you at at home or out somewhere?

Grandpa Bob forgot his camera , unheard of but pleased to hear that you had a fantastic meal. I remember when you met with Jill and it was lovely seeing the photos of you all and the beautiful candle etc. Last night I stayed home for dinner and as it was so hot didn' really feel like much so I had a prawn salad and my son just had some chicken dippers. Drove 10 miles then realized I left it home. But GardenGerty had hers. I am waiting for the photos to be emailed to me. I thought about having Jill come too but thats a 3 hour driver for her.

Actually, I did have dinner with someone special last night. My sister. She came to see me Sunday night and stayed with me until she left for her home this morning. It was the first time she has stayed with me since she got married three years ago. She lives three hours away. She cooked too! She cooked for me and my parents, and it was quite good.

Shame on you for forgetting your camera. I can't believe you did that. hahaha It does sound like you all had a great visit and wonderful dinner. It was my son, husband and myself at home for dinner. We had taco salad and it turned out real good.

I thought about calling and inviting you.
But that was at 2 and the drive etc would have been too long for this. Maybe another time.
We are talking about going down your area for a visit etc in September as well. Will let ya know.

That is great GrandpaBob. I ate my dinner alone. I wish I could meet some of MyLot friends. I don't know any that live near me. I really hate the fact that you left your camera. I hope that GardenGetty will share those pictures with us. I really do like the pictures that are posted on the site.

Wow that is great that you have dinner with other mylot members. Sounds interesting since you are able to meet them in person. Wish I can meet some friends here too.

I have met some very nice people here too, one of my friends from India send me a Necklace, one friend sent me some flower Seeds, and I plated them and they came right back the next year. Very nice people here, I wish I could meet a few for dinner too.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. It's nice to know that mylot can bring people closer. My hubby had to work late on Tuesday. So I had a bowl of cereal (still trying to lose the rest of those pounds from new baby) fixed my daughter a nice dinner. Then with my infant son in the pumpkin seat I sat with them and we made each other laugh and made plans for the rest of the week.

We live about 650 miles away from Grandpa Bob. We had recently received another granddaughter into the family. That is why we went to Minnesota from Kansas. The visit with Grandpa Bob was something that we had meant to do the last time we went to Minnesota, but it just didn't work out at that time. This time we were determined to make it work, and it did. There are many wonderful friends that we have met on MyLot that we would love to meet in person. Please be patient, we will try. Finlander 60

Anyhow, I am certainly glad you had a good time and met in person some wonderful new friends! Way to go, that's always great!

I think that's lovely that you meet myLot members in real life. It must add a real touch of intimacy to your relationship that you already have on myLot. I think I probably live too far away from most of my myLot friends to meet up. I also don't know if I feel close enough to anyone on here to meet them in real life.

Grandpa Bob, when I get home I will post pictures. The food was even good warmed over. I love the seasonings in it, not overpowering, but very flavorful. It was good to visit with you and Debbie, and you are just as easy to know offline as on.

wow! that is so great ! i wish i could also meet my mylot friends. It seems right to meet them i guess to learn more from them and be even more close to them . I guess this is a good site where in we could have a lot of friends from all over the world.Do it more often grandpa bob!

Grandpa Bob, of all the things you can forget why the camera??? It would be nice if you can post a photo of that MyLot friend having dinner with you.
We just had dinner at home last tuesday. That's hubby's day off but we had lots of things to do that day. We got back home at 3pm and I started doing house chores and cook dinner after.
Now I remember that lunch dates I had 10 months ago with MyLot friends in Manila. Hope to do that again within this year.
