Stressed and Depressed

Hello every one! How's life..? It's always good if we can stay healthy both mentally and physically. But sometimes things don't go the way we plan them and we can feel stressed or depressed because of the unpredicted situations. Have you ever felt stressed and/or depressed? If the answer is yes, what was the cause and how did you overcome this problem?

I think one thing we need to remember is the difference between depressed and disappointed or sad. We have a right to be disappointed or sad when things don't go the way we wanted them to, but that doesn't mean we're depressed. Being disappointed is a natural thing and the best way to "overcome" it is to let it play it's role and then you can go on with life. Life can't always be roses and sunshine. Just my two cents. :)

Thanks for the response. It really is enlightening. I know that it's normal to be dissapointed and sad and it's not good to be depressed. I've made a decision now that even though I feel disappointed or sad I won't let myself get depressed. Life is full of wonderful things, I know it is. Cheers.

You're right; life is full of wonderful things. They're still there whether we choose to enjoy them or not, so why not?:)

i'm actually going through this stage at the moment. I feel like I haven't got much going for me at the moment, so have tried to put an action plan together on what I need to do to make things better and help cheer myself up. I think a lot of things are causing me to be stressed, such as lack of money because I only have a part time job as I was made redundant end of jan. I can't keep up with bill repayments, and there's this guy I like who I really shouldn't have feelings for but I do. My friends haven't been very great lately either!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I guess talking to somone you trust would be the best way to overcome your stress. I know that lack of money, insecure job and "forbidden love" can make us really depressed. Anyway, why don't you just have a day or two off from your daily routines. Maybe it will help.
